Posting here as I'm not sure if everyone who homebrews necessarily makes it over to that subforum. I'm also looking for specific geographic information as it relates to homebrew clubs in the Denver-area. Are you in a homebrew club? If so, which one? Do you know of any BJCP sanctioned competitions coming up in the next 2 months in the area? I could only find 2-3 on the AHA/BJCP event listings page and they are limited to homebrew clubs or spiced beer, or mead only. The next one seems like it's December 8th which is quite a ways off for entering my dry-hopped pale ale. If you want you can message me directly about this.
I'm not in a homebrew club, but I've entered 2-3 comps each of the last 2 years. I just look at the bjcp site, which I'm sure you know. I wish there was a local blog or facebook page or something where the results of local comps were posted quickly after judging. I'm not talking all the scores, maybe just a scan of the list of 1st-3d's in each category. That would be cool.
Last week, George at the new Lafayette Homebrew Shop told me that he was thinking of putting together a competition in December or thereabouts. I think it would be a good time, since the local ones I've seen are pretty specific (like spice beers).
