Ugh. I've been ill over the last 2 days, so it's a no-go for me. I missed the Renegade Peanut Butter last night, too.
Hopefully I can make the PtY on Thursday.
On the Copper Kettle topic - in addition to Mexican Chocolate (which is always awesome), their new British ESB is really good. Reminds me a bit of bottled Fullers. They're supposed to have a hand pump for it this weekend I believe, but it's good on normal CO2.

I may make this. That Ten Fidy sounds quite nice.

Yup  I'll be in and out though, just coming over for the Ten Fidy, then happy hour at Encore on Colfax.

Man...looks like Wednesday will be a crazy one. Cheeky Monk has Pliny and Great Divide has a couple aged Yeti vintages.
I'm going to try and make the Cheeky Monk tapping as it's at 7PM and a bit more feasible for my schedule compared with the VSP tapping on Thursday at 4:20.

Hey Corey, Will Mountain Sun have all these offerings also?

Think they might have a BA Yeti? I still have not tried it:slight_frown:

Per their Facebook, they're tapping a 2007(!) Yeti, a 2010 Yeti, and a 2009 Oak Aged Yeti. I had a 2009 Yeti last fall and it was excellent. I'd love to just do a comparison of those (plus the current vintages) and tomorrow that should be possible. I think I'm probably doing the Pliny tapping at the CM, though. I just don't think I could handle that much Yeti in the middle of the week.

I've never been that crazy about Yeti like most seem to be. Actually the only Yeti i have liked so far is Espresso which was excellent.... I really want to try BA yeti though...

I highly doubt that they will have BA Yeti. AFAIK they never made it available on tap, only bottles. If they were to have BA Yeti on tap, you can be sure that they would advertise it.

Anyone else hitting up Cheeky Monk tonight? I'm tempted (it IS Pliny) but I'm also feeling very lazy.

I might stop by seeing as it's 4 blocks away. What time is the tapping?

Yup, it's at 7PM. I'm planning on arriving there a bit early to eat something first. I've been told previous tappings were pretty orderly, so hopefully it'll be that way again.
I'll probably have a table and something below 5%ABV in my hand if anyone wants to stop by.

Yeah, at the Westy location, you purchased a ticket from your table at tapping time and then you were told you'd be getting in line to receive your pour. But the servers ended up bringing the beer for some odd reason.

Now that I think about it, I got to try it at Falling Rock and at Freshcraft, I'll abstain from tonight's so that hopefully more people get to try it that haven't yet.

At the Freshcraft tapping I was 2nd to last to get a ticket, so the guy behind me got the last one. The guy behind him was a little pissed at his bad luck, and the guy who got the last one asked me, right in front of the other guy "What are we here for anyway? My friends told me to come." facepalm

Well, I ended up making it and I was a little disappointed. The joy of a Belgian-heavy bar is that the tap lines tend to keep those esters a bit too much. It tasted a bit like a Belgian IPA at first, but finally opened up a lot after letting it sit for a while.
On the plus side, the Cheeky Monk was about as low-key as a Pliny tapping can get. There were people there, but there was no rush at all. I think a good chunk of the people there weren't even there for Pliny. They said "one per person, please" but there was probably enough for every person in the place to order 4 if they wanted to.
