    Visiting from NY. What beers do I need to try and any good shops nearby? Needs to be close since car is borrowed. On iPod so apologies for grammar or limited response. Thanks.

    Do you mean Durham? if so go to Bull City Burger & Brewery and Fullsteam. Sams Quik Shop is required, and Dane's which is around the corner from Sams is pretty cool. Tylers on the American Tobacco Campus by the Bulls stadium is one of the better ones as well. Bavarian Brathaus is pretty cool as well.

    actually, there is a Denver, nc. It's near lake Norman north of Charlotte. If that's what you meant, hit up Bradley's If you need a bottle shop. I'll let some locals comment about restaurants since they are more experienced in that area than myself.

    Forgot to mention beers. Pick up some foothills, olde hickory from here in North Carolina. I would also recommend the Georgia brews from sweetwater and terrapin. Enjoy!

    Head to nearby Davidson, NC and visit Davidson Beverage Company. When I say "nearby," I mean it's close to Lake Norman but maybe half an hour or so from Denver.
