My brother will be in Denver New Year's Eve, staying around coors field area. Any recommendations on where to purchase bottles? And best craft bars in the area? Interested in funkwerks, crooked stave, and open to any suggestions based on what might be available at this time of year and recommended. We enjoy all types of beer with an emphasis on sours, funky, saisons and stouts. Is nightmare on Brett available currently? Thanks ahead of time for all your help! Mr b's is right downtown and has a great selection. Freshcraft, falling rock, and star bar should all be within walking distance. There's also world of beer and yard house, but thoes bars are a little more "chainy" crooked stave is also a cheap cab ride away if you want sours.
Mr. B's is great but their selection is smaller, so he should definitely go there but also to Argonaut, which isn't that far from downtown, as they'll have more selection/stock than B's. Nightmare on Brett is currently around, both at Crooked Stave and in stores around town, so I don't think he'll have a problem finding it. If Mr. B's still has Casey Saison, he should definitely get that. For local stouts, make sure he picks up Bull & Bush Legend of the Liquid Brain. Copper Kettle Snowed In is great this year as well.
