Going fishing! But need to stock up on supplies including reasonable beer and wine. What options of stores on the trek from Denver to Casper? Thanks Jim
Well, when you get to Casper, there are 2 stores worthy of a visit: Liquor Shed and 2nd Street Discount Liquors. And stopping in at the Wonder Bar for a couple of pints of Wyoming brews including Wyoming State Brewing, the local, would be a good move if you have the time.
Best bet for options would probably be to stop over in Ft Collins on the way. Tons of stuff around there, and a very small detour right off of 25.
Assuming you're heading directly north from the airport, Total Beverage and Daveco will be on the right side of the road as you head north of Denver. TB is at 104th and Devco is off Baseline. Once you're out of Denver, LiquorMax in Loveland is a small detour east. In Ft. Collins there are 2-3 good stores a few miles east near campus.
Much much smaller store so they can't carry the volume that Liquor Shed does. What they do stock. .probably the best prices in town. Andy at 2nd Street is a cool guy and likes to drink good beers and I think he's the driving force behind that store bringing in new beers. I guess that's why I will continue to recommend them for people who visit Casper.
I have been in communication with Jacob and I am very happy of his love of beer. I am really impressed with his selection because even back East, some stores do not come close!!! I will be in Casper for at least 4 nights so I will have time to look through both stores! I will be like a kid in a candy store, or better yet, a beer geek in a beer heaven!
Just needed up driving on thru. Stopped by the Liquor shed and got some really decent beer. Even picked up a Dechutes Abyss on sale and a bottle of Alaskan Smoked Porter. Drank Fresh Squezed IPA on the river each day. So not too bad. Thanks for the advice.
