My dad and I are headed to Denver for a man weekend. We would like to hit up some breweries or beer-related places. What are some recommendations? We definitely plan on going to New Belgium, but any other ideas would be welcome.

    Thanks!

If you're going to New Belgium hit up Odell, Funkwerks, and Fort Collins Brewery, they're all pretty much right next to each other.

In Denver hit Great Divide, Renegade, Strange, and Dry Dock. The first three are relatively close to each other, Dry Dock is a bit southeast in Aurora.

For Denver I'd add Wynkoop (good for meals and beer), Denver Beer Co. and Breckenridge. If you're coming during a home game for the Rockies, try the Sandlot brewery.

Bull and Bush is a great little place, too, in central denver...good food

I would check the first three pages of this forum and use the recommendations from the first six threads you find that ask the same question,

    We need a sticky.

Depends on how much time you have. But in Denver Copper Kettle and Golden City Brewery are great in Denver.

Make sure two of the first ones listed on the sticky are Avery and Oskar Blues (in Longmont - Taproom and L&S). Always amazes me how far down the list it takes for them to get mentioned on each of these new Denver+ threads. (Especially in this case - where they are going north anyway.) The beers they have on tap at both places never cease to impress. (Not to mention...if you are going to Avery, have to hit Backcountry Pizza.)

Oh yeah, this is an OPINION thread. (Just checked myself. Thank goodness I did it pre-wrecking myself.)
