Hi all, I've browsed some of the historical Denver threads but I wanted to post a thread because of some unique questions. I'm looking to get recommendations for restaurants, bars, and breweries (the latter two would be more valuable). I think it will be easiest to stay around LoDo since we're staying there, and we'll need places that would be good for a large group (14 of us). As far as the quality level goes, I would like to go to the nicer places that would both support a large group and also tolerate us being loud/obnoxious. Thanks for any help you can provide!
Really. I'll actually answer the restaurants portion as I think that's a valid question that could be added to (despite actually existing previously). Bars and breweries has been covered to death... Hops & Pie - Best Tap List AND food in town. Euclid Hall - Owned by a James Beard Award-winning chef, and a killer rotating tap list to boot. Mercantile - Certainly not known for beer (but they always have a Comrade beer on tap), and arguably the best restaurant in Denver right now.
The Falling Rock has a semi-private room in the basement that can be blocked off for groups. No clue if you need to give them advance notice or just show up and claim it, though. You can probably call 'em and find out.
So my question about the bars/ breweries, was mainly around, can most of these hold 14 people, etc. Denver probably has it better than us DC folks, but many of our best beer bars, and some of our best breweries, would never be able to hold a group of 14. Your restaurant list is highly appreciated though!
Hops and Pie probably can't without an extremely long wait. The others should be fine with some advanced notice.
Crafty Fox has one of the best tap lists in Denver right now and has a ton of space to accommodate a large group. They also have a bad ass rooftop. I've never eaten there but the food looked and smelled great.
