Every response has been great - just something to think about (as if you need more)...Bierstadt has some good German lager/pilsener beers with reasonable ABV. There is a free shuttle (seats 6) that stops there that goes to 5 or 6 other breweries within a mile or so - Blackshirt and Great Divide are two I remember specifically.

Hey folks, I'm flying into Denver from California on Saturday and staying in the lower Highland area for half a week. I plan on going the public transit route (with the occasional Lyft) since I won't have a car and I already have a rough idea of what breweries I'm going to visit.

What I want to know is: do you folks have any good food recommendations? I can't drink all the live long day I'm there and Yelp can only do so much.

Any cuisine works, really. So, if you guys have any favorite spots...

Lower Highlands area has a lot of good options within walking distance (depending on where, exactly, you are staying):

Higher End: Duo (good brunch, but also good dinner), Root Down (good brunch, but also good dinner), Colt and Gray (good cocktails), and Old Major (meat).

Medium End: Uncle (pretty decent ramen), Linger (cool space, eclectic food), and Bar Dough (solid contemporary Italian).

Lower End: Highland Tap and Burger (beers and burgers), Park Burger (ditto), Wooden Spoon (this is a bakery/breakfast joint), and Masterpiece Deli (good sandwiches).

There are other restaurants also in LoHi, but I have not visited so I can't comment: Uber Eats, Sushi Ronin, Low Country Kitchen, Mizu Izakaya, and El Five.

I like Tocane native tacos. It's bomb. But I'm partial my girl is native but the food is good. A little off the beaten path.
