Zwei's my new favorite place in FoCo, but it's not super close to all of the other places. Uber and Lyft obviously still make it feasible, though. While they're known for their German beers, they had a ton of stuff for every palate. Multiple IPA's, multiple reds, a coffee porter, etc.
I think they dabble with English styles, too.

Quick question for you Denver locals....last time I was there the two bottle shops I went to didn't have a large selection of singles. Where I'm at the bottle shops allow you to buy singles of any beer...looking for something like that(if it exists)so I can try a lot of out of distro stuff. Any recommendations?

Quite a few places have mixed six options, but be wary of the dates. Most places use this format to get rid of old ass beer.

Yeah that's kind of what I encountered last time in the places I went, great six pack selection...but options for singles were pretty turdy. Makes me grateful for my local shops but I have not really encountered the "anything as a single" in my travels much unfortunately.

Molly's is the best I've seen for pure singles.

Fort Collins there is a Craft Beer Cellar and anything can be sold as a single. If you make it up that way at least. Otherwise agreed with above most coolers for mix 6 are just clearing out old stock.

There's a nice multi-door singles selection at Bubbles in Castle Rock if you're down that way.

Same with Davidsons. Also, most of the time if you ask them for a single of something they will break it up for you.

Parker payless just expanded to 8 doors of singles. Bubbles lost me when I went in for mirror pond, took a six pack home, realized it was a month over the best buy date, and they refused to take it back. Even king soopers takes back expired shit.

I just got back from my trip out west. Thank you for all of your recommendations on breweries and all the shenanigans related to Denver.

I ended up at these breweries:

    Lowdown Brewing
    TRVE Brewing
    Baere Brewing
    Jagged mountain Brewing
    Zephyr Brewing
    10 Barrel Brewing
    Our Mutual Friend Brewing
    Ratio Beerworks
    Epic Brewing

I also went to Freshcraft and Falling Rock. BTW I had the 4/20 beer Nazareth from TRVE and I'm fairly certain that was one of the best DIPAs I have ever had.

These may be my favorite posts from threads like this. Always fun to hear what out-of-towners enjoyed here in Colorado and where they visited. Thanks for sharing @Socalfan21, any other highlights aside from Nazareth?

Right off the bat I would say Our Mutual Friend was my favorite brewery we visted. I had El Dorado Session Smash, Times's Arrow, Zoyd and Dad's Brown Ale in a flight and that was one of the only breweries I really enjoyed everything I had. Sidenote: While at OMF, I had a sip of a beer from a brewery called Wiley Roots - Something came in the mail today or something like. That was one of the most flavorful stouts I had ever had and I wished I had a full pour. Luckily they were selling it at Mr. B's and I was able to take one back to Chicago with me.

TRVE and Baere were solid. I had an IPA called C3(i)PA from Baere that was my 2nd favorite beer from a brewery I checked out.

Ratio Beerworks I had 1 IPA called Antidote that was very good. Absolutely loved the patio layout.

Epic was a random pop in because we were walking by it and I was able to try double barrel big baptist and that was an awesome beer. I had never had it before.

Now, me being a branding guy, I absolutely loved the atmosphere and taproom layouts at 10 barrel, Ratio and Our Mutual Friend. I loved Zephyr for the table games and foosball table. I always believed that going to a brewery should be a well rounded experience. The beer will get you in the door but the experience will get you coming back.

Falling Rock was cool and I had Comrade Superpower IPA and Station 26 Juicy Banger. Both very solid hopped up brews.

If I think if anything else I will comment.

I don't think those words have ever been uttered, ever. I haven't been there in a while and honestly never even thought of returning and am actually surprised to hear they are still open. Any locals with a recent visit? Is it worth revisiting?

Went on Saturday and it was actually quite busy, especially given the weather. They had probably 10+ beers on tap and some decent variety, also had a few Wiley Roots guest taps on too. I wouldn't say their beer blew me away by any means (got a flight of several IPAs, a winter warmer and a stout) but it was a fun place to grab a few tasters. The Wiley Roots "Something Came in the Mail For You Today" was the best beer I had. I'd recommend revisiting though if you're in the area.

They made a total 180 when they stopped trying to be their own maltster and lost a bit of the know-it-all-on-day-1 attitude. The last few beers I've had from them have been good and their sours are especially notable. I remember someone else mentioning that they had Wiley Roots guest taps and per their website that looks to be true.
That's an area where competition is tough and I'd like to think it has made them better.
Owlbear BBQ is apparently moving next door to them, which is certain to get my ass over that way...

I'm going to Denver at the end of the month, driving in from Louisville, KY with my girlfriend and 2 dogs. Plan on hiking in Colorado Springs, Boulder, and Fort Collins. I'm still planning the trip, so far have 45 breweries bookmarked:grimacing:

I would say all 45 are essential. Have fun!

If you don't hit at least 45 breweries, you're doing it wrong.
