    Damn. I didn't know there were that many in the Des Moines area. I'll have a lot of places to stop at next time I'm there.

    Dang. I didn't know there were that many either. I'm heading down to Des Moines next week. This will help out a lot. Thanks for putting this together!!!

    Not to steal anyone's thunder but here is a map I made early 2015 on my quest to get to all the breweries in Iowa. It only has breweries, but includes the whole state. for those curious Green = I have been there, Red = I haven't been there, and Black is no longer open. I believe this to be up to date as of . . . RIGHT NOW!

    Also, if you are into it I made this spreadsheet.

    Both the map and Google Doc are open for comments if you guys know anything I don't.

    They just got their federal brewing license the other day so they can officially brew. I know they purchased 515s old system when they upgraded.

    It appears the taproom/brewery will be on 5th Ave in Altoona, just off of 8th St. Directly west of the HyVee

    Thanks. Didn't realize that they had moved. Will update the info on the map.

    EDIT: Updated.

    As for Black Hollow, I have no clue if they are still intending to eventually open a brewery or not, so I'm just leaving it as "In Planning" for now. Also, Twisted Vine is also in the process of moving their brewery and adding a taproom in West Des Moines. They are currently remodeling their new location (over by Valley West Mall) and are hoping to open this Spring. Will update their address and info once that becomes more concrete.
