Des Moines Beer Week: June 6th-15th

It'll be interesting to see what happens during this week. It could really end up being something awesome...or something completely unremarkable.

 

Omaha Beer Week has been a success I would say for 3 years running. I wish you guys all the best!

In fact, I hope for some awesome events that I will just have to make the drive from Omaha for.

 

So are there going to be back to back weeks of beer festivals I am Des Monies? Interesting that this is the week before the Iowa Craft Beer Festival on Locust Street Bridge which is normally the 3rd weekend in June. Seems like the downtown businesses are stepping on The Iowa Craft Brewers Guilds toes which includes lots if not almost every brewery in Iowa. Seems like it would make more sense to do it all the same week.

 

Any word on any specific things happening for this? I'm hoping it's not like "restaurant week" where everyone has "deals" which usually amount to saving about a buck. The restaurant I used to work weekends at had a deal that literally saved you 60 cents. Hah

 

The Iowa Craft Brew Fest will be June 14th this year, right at the end of Beer Week!

Just a friendly reminder that this kicks off this week, starting with a screening of "Beer Hunter: The Movie" tomorrow at Fleur Cinema. Tickets are $10 and go to benefit Parkinson's research.
