Has anyone been to any of the events yet? Curious how Bait Shop is doing their events. It looks like they have a bunch going on. Bummed I missed the Exile event at The Keg Stand last night because those pins they had seemed like they would be awesome. I plan on going to the Traveler event at Brenton Skating Plaza to meet Alan Newman. Loved me some Magic Hat when I was in college out east. I would have loved to hit up the Peace Tree Beer Dinner at Table 128, but at $55 a pop, a little rich for my blood. Anything you guys are looking forward to?
The Confluence thing tonight seems cool. Cask of the All Hands On Deck summer ale collaboration beer, a new barrel aged beer on tap (not sure which but I saw Dublin Bay in Ames just tapped BA Chewbocka), and dollar off all their pints. Blood Sweat and Beer screening at Flix on Thursday also looks cool. I will definitely be at the Mountains vs. Midwest event on Friday at El Bait Shop. Peruvian Morning from Central Waters and many special beers distributed by Johnson Brothers will be on tap. Heading up Friday AM for Saturday's Craft Beer Festival. Was super-stoked to see how much stuff is going on Friday ... and post-fest. My buddy (DSM resident!) and I are hitting up a couple of breweries Friday and may head to El Bait and Confluence later. I am looking forward to meeting a bunch of DSM BAs while I'm there. Look for me: I'll be the bearded, middle-aged guy in a brewery shirt. ... OK, I made up that last part. I won't be wearing a brewery shirt.
Sounds like 515 Brewing is going to tap 3 Way, their Belgian Tripel Double IPA collaboration with Rock Bottom, tomorrow at their Man Craft event.....I'll be there about 3:00.

Johnson Brothers mentioned 9 Funkwerks lines tonight for Mountains vs. Midwest at Bait Shop, 6 specialties, said starting at 4 PM. Bruno also mentioned BA Surly beers on KXNO yesterday. Should be a fun time.
Surly said they'll have stuff for Mountains vs Midwest and Bait tweeted back at them Give me a D so I am 99.9% sure we have BA Darkness on tap at Bait today!
Wifey and I stopped in Friday. I had forgotten about this tapping. I'd never been to 515 before. Very cool place with some great brews. I LOVED the Passe and also sampled most of the others. Interesting how I thought the 3way tasted more tripel and I my wife thought it was more DIPA (she doesn't like IPAs, and I love them). Good stuff though!
