Just heard from the Specs Beer Dept twitter feed that downtown Houston has some Deschutes Black Butte 24. Anyone have a bead on this in the Austin area? Thanks - BK
I asked them via twitter if this meant a one week delay here (at least my specs get friday deliveries) and unsurprisingly never heard back.
Guy at the Spec's in Round Rock told me today he was planning on getting it in Thursday. He's supposed to give me a call when it gets in.
From TX rep Tish last night: "It will be landing in Dallas later this week. Austin allocation won't arrive until late next week or early the following week. "
This seems to directly contradict what Specs RR is telling people, as they told me the same thing - they'll be getting it this week, probably Thursday. I hope sooner rather than later!
On tap at Hay Merchant right now, if anyone in Houston wants to try it. It is really good. I like it a lot better than last years version.
I cant wait for it! Black butte was my "red pill" of craft beer. I will gladly buy any variation they offer.
