Just curious if anyone knows if any of Deschutes beers have begun to make an appearance in or around Roanoke in advance of their arrival there.
All I heard was that we would get distro sometime this summer . Not just the Roanoke area but the whole state of VA . Looking forward to it .
Direct from their Roanoke site, "Beer: We’re doing everything we can to ensure that our Roanoke fans can enjoy our beer this August. We’re expanding our distribution throughout the state of Virginia this summer and look forward to kicking things off with a Roanoke Street Pub on August 27th!" NOVA and I believe also the Tidewater has been getting Deschutes for a while now.
NOVA/DC has it, but I haven't seen anything of any substance in Tidewater yet (VB, Norfolk, Ches, etc).
Started to see a bunch of posts of bottles beginning to arrive in retail today. Locations have been Roanoke, Harrisonburg and Charlottesville. Not sure if all of these will be available in all areas but in my locale have been; - Fresh Squeezed IPA - Pinedrops IPA - Mirror Pond Pale Ale - Hopzeit Autumn IPA - Black Butte Porter - Variety 12-pack (Mirror Pond, Pinedrops, Black Butte, Pub Specialty India Red Ale)
Where are we seeing this now? I saw a post that Barrel Chest got their first shipment some time back. Where else? Does Beer Kroger on Brambleton have any?
Picked up some Black Butte and Fresh Squeezed around the 1st of October timeframe from Washington St Purveyors in Lexington VA. The Black Butte was serviceable but the Fresh Squeezed left me hanging. I was assuming a 6 month shelf life on the beer but I hear Deschutes gives it only 4, which proly explains it. Will give it an other shot if I can find it fresher.
