After striking out in the BA Abraxas lottery, I now know what I'll be spending that extra money on.

YES!!! The XXI I had recently was outstanding so this series is a heck of a good one to cellar.

Yeah might have to agree with you, though I am sure it won't be too hard to get around town and probably cheaper. I really hate finding parking downtown though :slight_frown:

True that unless you get there at 11 when they open, and your right I should wait until it hits Total Wine

Can't wait for XXVI, the last couple of years have been fantastic and I've got a XXV from last year to crack open.

I wonder how much will hit Ohio. If it is as much as Mirror mirror I'm going to be a happy dude.

Haven't yet met a Black Butte Reserve that I didn't enjoy. Always looking forward to this time of year.

    Nice.

What would we do without ole BottleCaps letting us in on all the release news?
We would all be at least a day behind everyone...haha

Still not available in Washington state. I tried half a dozen places and none had gotten any yet.

Had it on Friday at the brewpub. I thought it was really good, one of my favorite releases. I think some age will do it wonders.

The real eye opener was how good XXIV and XXV were tasting after aging for a few years. wow! so smooth and well balanced. And I was somewhat lukewarm on XXV when it came out, but now it is damn near perfect.

XXV wasnt necessarily up my alley either, but man o man a year of aging did wonders for it. Im not always for aging beers, but this seems to be one where magic happens after about 12 months

$16.99 in Denver, if it means anything to you. Found it Thursday. A bit much for me that day. Wasn't overly impressed with the BCBS variant with berries, so perhaps I'm not being fair to Deschutes.

Did the bourbon come out and fruit fall off at all? I just opened a xxvi and it's really not good at all. The fruit is quite overpowering and I'm not getting anything from the bourbon barrels.

XXVI was just bad IMO. Couldn't finish my glass. The cranberry flavor was nasty. A lot of people seemed to like it though.

Paid $15.95 in Ohio, along with a Mirror Mirror for the same price. Along with an Enjoy By for $9. And a Sucks for $8. And a 4 pack of Two Hearted. I couldn't make it out of the store!
