Ya, I didn't find it bad or nasty but I'm just not a fan of fruit beers and wasn't expecting the strong flavors. Most of the people I've talked to really love it too, hopefully I can trade my other bottle.

Where did it land in Ohio? Not sure I've seen any in the Toledo area.

I thought it was a bit of a hot mess right now - sort of all over the map. That said, I can envision how this might round out in a year. Gee, maybe Deschutes knows more than me and should put a "best after" date on the bottle. Oh ... wait a minute.

What's the "Best After" date? I'd love to work out an IP trade in Charleston, SC area.

Ok then. I wouldn't complain about the way it tastes until you drink it AFTER that date. I'm itching so bad to open Mirror Mirror and Not The Stoic, but I'm going to wait until "Best After". Learned my lesson with The Abyss '13.

Opened one today. Im getting a solid coffee finish, little bitter at the end, not a whole lot of pomegranate or cranberry going on IMO. Good beer though.

Saw it in bottles at Ledgers Liquor Store in Berkeley on University Ave. It was on tap at Albany Tap House in Albany and Perdition Smoke House in Berkeley and was amazeballs!

had a bottle a couple weeks ago. damn the best after date, it is damn good right now. It is much better than the 24 & 25 IMO.

This beer while good fresh, deserves a year + of age. Had last years fresh, and this years fresh. Over the weekend at Uber in Seattle they had both last years aged and this years and I could tell the year helped this beer out. Very simillar to how Abyss needs some age. They put the drink after date on the bottle, but I like to try one fresh before I age.

I would agree, had the 2013 and 2014 at Uber over the weekend, a year really lest the barrels come through.

I have the xxvi and have been 'saving it for the right time' as they say. The right time never seems to come though, so just wondering, does anyone know how long this one can be aged for? And curious, has anyone had this one in the last month or so? It's been aging now for about a year.

    Cheers,

    Matt from BC

Have drank two in the past month and have had new craft beer drinkers truly enjoy it which was nice. I highly suggest trying it now unless you have designated a time to drink it! Just get at it!

Haha no designated time really, you're right I should really just drink it. I over-aged some nice bordeaux reds I brought home from traveling a couple years back and they were way past their prime. Don't want to make the same mistake again!
