Disclaimer: big fan of Deschutes, and love just about everything I have had from them. With that being said, the 2015 version of CF with Lemondrop hops was downright bad. More like a miller lite than a supposed fresh-hopped IPA. Anyone else have this experience?
I didn't find it to be that bad on tap this weekend. Thought it to be a good summer refresher. Maybe it was better this close to the brewery?
I was thinking that could be it. Got a bomber with best by date of Jan '16. I was shocked by the blandness of it. I had also heard Surly Wet had some of the same issues, so maybe it was a weak wet hop year.
I was disappointed as well, the lemon flavor beame cloying and every sip became more bitter as I drank. Last years mosaic hop version was terrific, this year not so much.
Well IM not a big fan of Deschutes buy very little of their shelf brew , and stopped buying Abyss and Dissident but to answer your question i did like 2015 Chasin, it had a clean finish with a grassy ,citrus , mint hop profile , i did like the mosaic 2014 better but still enjoyed this years version
Last year's mosaic version was so awesome but now you guys have me second guessing whether I want to buy some this year!
Bummer, man. I was so looking forward to this release. I guess I'll just buy 1 bottle now when I see it.
