For anyone trying this years Hop Trip, with past experience, notice how the ABV has increased to 5.9%, which leads to speculation of a major recipe change. Either it is just my taste buds evolving or Hop Trip has changed and to me, tastes more like a Mirror Pond Fresh Hop... I waited all year and it just seems to be a shell of its former self. Anybody else notice this?

When I drank my bottle the beer was cold so I know that didnt help to release any fresh hop aromas, but nevertheless i got such a measly hop aroma that I was baffled. And the taste? Man I had to look for the hops really hard. I still did enjoy it cause I had gotten off a long day of work but as far as this being called a fresh hop beer? Lol i dont think so.....

I've never found hop trip to be all that hoppy. It's not bad as a pale ale but not really a great showcase for fresh hops IMO.
