Deschutes love

I feel like Deschutes is the brewery Sam Adams wishes they could be.

 

Fresh Squeezed is my favorite new thing since.......I don't know what.......

I wondered when Deschutes would get some BA notoriety! I've been drinking beer from this brewery since my first trip to Portland in 1996. I was at a great seafood restaurant and had a black butte porter for the first time. Back then the only dark beer I drank were imports and I couldn't believe how delicious this local porter tasted. Hints of coffee and chocolate in a beer? I never tasted anything like it before. Since then I drink their beer whenever I'm in a distribution area. Had the Abyss on tap in San Francisco in 2014 and it blew me away! Great brewery and definitely in my top 10.

Damn. I'm from Sac and I missed this. I'm definitely a Deschutes fan.

 

Going to be pouring four oz pours at the Americano in San Francisco!! 6 bucks come on down to try them!! It's a deschutes tap take over too!!

I don't think they distribute it anymore but it is always available at their pubs.

 

I cry every day that I had to leave Seattle for Maryland.... and there is no Deschutes in Maryland. I am sad.

 

Deschutes' stouts and porters are the best available across the nation in my opinion. Their IPAs are solid as well.
