I see this has already hit Bend and Philly and is coming to Cleveland this weekend. Anyone here attend either of the first two? How was it? Looks awesome to me. In case you have no idea what I'm referring to: http://www.deschutesbrewery.com/taxonomy/term/975 Other stops include: Chicago - Aug 22 Minneapolis - Sept 19 Denver - Oct 17 Sacramento - Nov 14
If you go to the website, get the address for more info and click on maps, it will show you where it's going to be.
Being from Maryland we don't get Deschutes. Northern VA and PA do, and I've been lucky enough to cross the boarder and sampled Fresh Squeezed on tap and muled home Mirror Mirror, Mirror Pond PA and Red Chair PA. Everything I've had by them is outstanding. One of the top large distro brewers in the country easily.
It hit Cleveland last night and I gotta say it was pretty awesome. There's numerous "sections" of taps and they are all sorted: staples, seasonals, reserves, etc. They had a pub fare section where they were serving some hand picked items from the actual menu. You also just get beer tokens ($5 each) when you get your wristband and use those for beer so it's a pretty good price too. Every dime goes to a local charity also. Additionally instead of plastic cups you could buy a black Deschutes branded one for $5 and they would fill that instead (significantly larger and we'll worth it). Lot of dogs there too so it's definitely dog friendly. They set up a large stage and had a number of bands playing on it all day and night.
