Does anyone know if the Dissident will be released this year? Couldn't find anything on their website.
I was in Bend a few weeks ago. They had a sour on tap that was amazing. The waiter said that if I liked it, I would love this years Dissident. TIFWIW.
Looks like I need to spend more time perusing the Pacific forums to keep up on PNW releases. Definitely looking forward to the next Dissident! Can't wait!.
You mean people are asking too early right? He said this year's...we are in 2012 which means if its christmas again, we're looking at more than a few months till it's released.
no, I mean 5 months late. last time it was out was Dec 2009.... wait, was it 2010? man, it sucks that I have to check my mailbox for what YEAR I went somewhere. yeah, 2010, so early.

When I was there in July they said that Dissident does not have a hard and fast definitive date. They just start it when they want and release it 2 years later. I am not saying that it won't be released this December, but they said they could not be certain.
wild ales aren't exactly like clockwork. they probably want to make sure that it is up to snuff as far as flavors and are waiting for the yeasts and bacteria to get the flavor profile just right before they bottle it. They probably could put it out right now but if you're gonna put your name on the side of a bottle you want to make sure that beer will meet the standards that your brand name has come to mean.
i sent them a post on face book here is my reply, i also inquired about mirror mirror Deschutes Brewery The Dissident comes out again towards the end of August and hopefully we'll see Mirror Mirror again in 2014.
