Been here for a while. Black Butte and inversion IPA seem to be the most common, but we have seen seasonals and specialty too including mirror mirror, black butte anniversary, jubel ale, red chair, and fresh sqeezed. I know there have been others, just cant remember, but yes, they have been here for a while.
Passed on Abyss and there were 7 just sitting on a shelf. Tasted so infected when I drank my '13 didn't even want to get anymore.
Perhaps it's not getting to the area of Michigan where you live, but I'll agree that distribution started about a year ago on the southeast part of the state and then moved west early this year.
Picked up Fresh Squeezed in GR yesterday. Saw Black Butte and something else (can't remember which) as well.
I think you got that backwards - it started on the West side of the state and is slowly moving east. We still don't have any in Washtenaw County, and I didn't see any on my last trip to Detroit either.
It's definitely not in SE Michigan yet, but yeah, it's been in West Michigan for almost a year now. Kinda frustrating.
It's in SE Michigan, was on tap at Ale Mary's over the weekend. More bars will have it this week, bottles will be later.
Jubel and Mirror Mirror on the shelf in Livingston County. I got a bottle of Black Butte XXVI but I'm trying to remember where.
Saw a few Deschutes offerings on tap in Plymouth over the weekend, but the fresh squeezed was cashed so I stuck with Two Hearted...still haven't seen it at the stores yet.
Mirror Pond, Inversion, Red Chair, Jubel Ale are all really good. I was actually least impressed by Fresh Squeezed, we have much better IPAs in Michigan. I guess I just like the East coast style better
the brewery is making bars take 2 barrels. I had to take the summer ale to get a fresh squeezed. Bottles won't be around until August like Ashley said. Beer menus is your best bet to find it on tap.
Officially I talked to Holiday market in Royal Oak and they said they will have it in August. Edit: Haha I just realized Holiday posted above. Thanks Ashley!!
