Damn they took Hide the Despot off the tap list? That's disappointing, I really wanted to try before I buy. I don't know if I'm going to drop $30/bottle on that.

Yeah, taking Hide off seems really weird, since there's theoretically a cap to how many bottles they produce since only 500 tickets were sold (so 1000 bottles), and you'd think the rest would go to kegs. So I'd think either something's up with the beer, they somehow didn't yield as much as they expected, or any extra leftover after bottling is being saved for some other purpose (I'd assume this is the most likely scenario)

Don't know if anyone would be interested in an IP exchange during the event. I posted a thread in the IP South-Atlantic section if anyone is intrigued. See you all there!

@beernuts speaks the truth. All pre-sale tickets have been sold so if every person purchases their max allotment then no one else without a tickets will be able to get bottles. Now, highly unlikely every pre-sale ticket holder purchases the max but even if there are bottles remaining after those are gone through they will definitely sell out day of release. No bottles will see distro either way.

LCCB has said that any left over bottles will not be for sale on despot day. They are going to hold on to them for other events.

I thought I saw that somewhere too. I doubt they will make it the day but of course I'm sure they will hold some back (most breweries do) for some special events.

Yeah I asked them on Facebook what they would do with the leftover bottles. They said they didn't expect there to be many leftovers, but they would probably hold on to them.

Excited to see the brewery for the first time. Are there any good lunch/dinner options nearby (other than the food trucks at the event)?

There's nothing really close. LCCB is well off the beaten path. I think there is a couple mom & pop restaurants somewhat nearby but can't remember the names.

Hide the despot was taken of the draft list because there was not a big enough yield forward bottles and draft.

Taylor's Exxon / Service Center on 522 right there in Goochland Courthouse actually has damn good fried chicken. No joke. They are about 8 miles away from the brewery. Just grab some chicken (and potato wedges) and roll on to the brewery. For less adventurous types, there's a Hardees and Subway in the same area as Taylors. Couple mom and pops as well.

Looks like some of the Guest Taps have been announced as well as a very detailed layout of the setup (likely not to make any sense if you have never been to LCCB).

    Beer Truck Guest Taps:

    Brothers Brewing - Resolute
O'Connor Brewing - Heavy Footer Double IPA
    Strangeways - TBA
    Hardywood Park - Super Single
    Stone - TBA
    Adroit Theory - TBA
    Triple Crossing - TBA
    More to come!

Also on the Guest Tap Beer Truck:
    Enlightened Despot - 2016
    Awaken the Despot - 2016
    Hug the Despot - 2016

I've been to LCCB 5-6 times and that layout still doesn't make any sense to me. They didn't identify any known structures (like the main building), and if you assume the big rectangle in the middle is the main building, it looks like the food trucks are parked on a hill. It doesn't really matter much though, with the way they are doing bottle sales there's no reason to sweat anything.
