I know that the Gose and the Flanders red were readily available throughout Southern Illinois last year, but I had no idea that PA got Destihl.

Available in Indiana. The Gose and Black Berliner Weisse (which I had on tap in Chicago) were quite solid.

Not sure. I know they are readily available in central illinois and fairly available in Chicago. Not to sure about every where else. I think the high price point for a relativly unknown brewery has contributed to the availability.

HI  Your right its not insane, I just understand how it would scare some folks off for 500ml bottles.

We have recently gotten Destihl down in Texas. I've had a few of the beers you guys are talking about. Expensive, yes, but enough to disqualify them from being tried out.

Destihl makes some really enjoyable sours . . . I stay away from everything else though.

The Saint Dekkera Reserve Sours are small batch and limited quantity, taking a year or more to sour in oak barrels, therefore they aren't as readily available as the Wild Sour Series. We produce quite a variety of styles in this series, with some being a one-time only release. We allocate most of the batches to bottling, and a small amount to draft, then allocate quantities of each to our distributors. Some distributors will bring in every style we release, while others may choose to distribute only a few styles. It is completely up to the individual distributors. Glad to hear you are enjoying them! Cheers!

You can usually find the Saint Dekkera Series at Binny's, Friar Tuck and other finer liquor or wine shops throughout Illinois, not just Chicago.

As with any small-batch, barrel-aged beer, the price will be higher due to the time and effort involved in producing them. We are working to increase production and lower the price on the Saint Dekkera Reserve Sours.
