Deths Tar and Blue Jean release???

Is blugene being bottled? Was draft only last year

 

We got Deth's Tar last year, so unless something changed, we should get it again this year.

 

Man I hope so. Blue Gene was fantastic.

 

Has 2014 Deths Tar been released yet even in Chicago?

 

Haven't seen it yet, And I've been in several stores for the last several days trying to track down Square Grouper and Over The Line (both PW). Struggled to find either, but I did hit some Bo & Luke!

 

No. Haven't seen nor heard of it yet this year.

 

I'm going to the Big Beers and Barleywine Fest in Dayton Saturday and Deth's Tar is on the lineup. Can't believe it would be from last year but you never know.

 

Gravedigger Billy was just released last week and is at Binny's Lincoln Park as of yesterday. Deth's Tar is not even available at the brewpub yet.

 

Maybe it's just me but does anyone else get annoyed that GENE is spelled Jean in the title? It's the small, stupid things in life that grind my gears. Blue Gene is fantastic though and has Rev even mentioned that they will be releasing Deths Tar sometime this year?

 

I bet the family & admires of eugene v debs are bummed too (myself included).

 

On Rev's website, they have a beer release calendar including their Deep Wood series. Deths Tar shows September release. They did just add Gravedigger Billy (awesome beer) to the list with the October list. No Blue Gene on there, just Mean and Bean. Blue was great and I would love them to bottle it, but at least a few kegs is great.

Gravedigger Billy was $15.99 + tax for a bomber here in Chicago (slightly cheaper at the brewpub or Kedzie location) so I would expect at least the same $$$ with Blue Gene and the remainder of the Deep Woods series beers this year and into next.

 

This is unfortunate. I was hoping to pick up some Deth's Tar when I come into town next weekend for the pinball expo.

I guess is there any other "dark" local beers I should look out for instead?

 

Gravedigger Billy is starting to hit shelves. Definitely lookout for that one.

 

I've heard a rumor about a Coffee Deth's Tar. Just a rumor though.

 

It was on tap a while back for a quick minute at the tap room.

 

Not 1 review or checkin anywhere?? I would have loved to try that if its true
