    I am looking for the best selection of beers in the Detroit area, can anyone recommend some places to check out. North of Detroit would be the best.

    West of the city there is Merchants in Dearborn.

    As mentioned Holiday and Champanes. Will add Clover Leaf in Royal Oak.

    Livonia has Wine Castle at 7 and Farmington and Beer Baron at Middlebelt just north of 7

    Oh yeah. I went there while I was home over Thanksgiving to pick up some DFH and Weihenstephaner. I was pleasantly surprised by the selection. Making sure I'm not missing anything here.

    There's a liquor store on 12 mile halfway between Middlebelt and Orchard Lake that has a pretty good beer selection. Can't remember the name though.
