Been going to Deviate for a few months now and also picked up the club membership. I'm a really big fan of what they do, definitely my favorite new brewery in town. Bad Ground Hum has been my favorite IPA of theirs so far, have a fill of Dark Matter in the fridge that I'm gonna open later today. Can't wait to see how the barrel aged offerings turn out.

stopped by on Friday night and chatted with Greg a bit. He pulled a sample of their "double barrel" coffee stout. That beer is phenomenal. The coffee aroma on that beer is sick and it's just loaded with flavor. Can't wait for them to roll it out.

Wish I knew about them when I was in Upland society last year. I'll have to find time to go check them out.

Some interesting stuff popping on their twitter the last couple days.
    1. RIS w/barrel aged coffee (if I understand correctly) dropping next month. Will first be available only to Drinking Club members.
    2. Next Wednesday, 3/16, special tappings of a new milk stout in honor of St Patrick's Day and also, of Hop OPulancy (triple IPA). Based on @ZionsvilleBeerDork's comments above, I will be there for sure!
Anybody have additional thoughts on Dark Matter? I had it a couple weeks ago after slamming a bunch of food at Tamaleria Lupitas which included downing ~1/2 a bottle of hot sauce, which pretty much killed my taste buds for the night. The couple comments I've gotten are that it's fantastic...

Dark Matter kind of let me down. Has a great taste, but felt a little light to me. Will be filling a growler of OPulancy tomorrow...

I have yet to visit, but I'm coming into town Thursday night for a long weekend, any idea on how long OPulancy might last? I know St. Patrick's might make it hard to predict, but any guess is more educated than my own.

I have been there twice and tried all 8 drafts each time. Each time I loved all 8. I could not say that about any other central Indiana brewery. I see great things for Deviate. I wish I spent the $100 to get into the club.

You should be good to get it when you're in town. I asked last weekend and they said it would last for a bit as it was "a full batch." I'm excited to try it tonight.

I tried the RIS w/BA coffee....it had massive coffee aroma and flavor. I think it needs to mellow a bit, but I loved where it was heading. I tried it almost 2 weeks ago out of the tank.

I wasn't a huge fan of Dark Matter initially, but i've continued to drink it and filled my growler with it last weekend. I think it's much better now than it was when it first came out. I really enjoyed it.

I personally haven't loved Dark Matter compared to most of the other stouts they've done (have now had it twice); which is fine as obviously, everybody won't love everything. Cherry flavor in stouts always imparts some metallic notes on me and Dark Matter is no exception. Opted for a fill of Monkey Business last weekend as they said OPulency is replacing it and the batch is all gone with no expectation for it's return. Disappointed to see that one go but sounds like it's replacement will not disappoint.

I still haven't tried Great Quad Almighty, but the friends we were there with Saturday were going crazy for it -- they each had multiple pours. Anybody here have any thoughts?

Man, that Monkey Business....perfectly executed in what they were trying to accomplish....but as someone who hates bananas, I hated that one. Again, totally appreciate what they were doing with it...and they nailed it.

Great Quad is pretty solid. Not usually a style I love but i had no problems drinking it....

Guys, you need to get here. The McKegger is fantastic and the Opulancy is something else.

Went last night, tend to agree. The OPulancy is over the top. Super sweet, super sticky, and very thick. It reminds me of Evil Twin Molotov Cocktail, but better. The citrus overcomes the alcohol bite many triple IPAs have as well. Drink it last though; I had a Bad Ground Hum afterwards and couldn't taste anything...

RIS w/BA coffee is dropping week of DLD. For a week it will only be available to club members.

Was in last night and they said a bal-aged wheat wine is ready to drop any time now too.
