I was in tonight also and had a great flight. Honolulu was probably my fave, but I also really enjoyed the coffee/vanilla ale. I'm such a sucker for the stouts they make with things like coffee, chocolate and coconut. Would love another chance to have Swiss Cocoa. That was so good.

Loaded up on bottles last night. I assume based on their "no limit" bottle sales that the member turn out wasn't huge, which is a relative shock to me, at least.

Mike said he'd figured they'd be gone by Thursday. Surprising to see they've lasted. Probably because they're Scottish ales and not stouts.

Opened my first bottle of Monkey Business last night. Absolutely fantastic...unbelievably sweet though. Wife and I split the bottle in one sitting. I'd probably be more inclined in the future to throw a bottle stopper in and break it up into 2 sessions, or share it between more than 2 people if consuming all at once.

Also, when I was in the other night they pulled a little bit of a 16% BA RIS they plan to bottle and gave me a little taste. Outrageous! Shades of BA Dark Lord, I thought. Real thick, a lot of bourbon heat, raisin-y. Can't wait until that one is available.

I love that these guys let us sample the beers that are coming.....it's definitely nice to get a sneak peek of their beers.

Absolutely. It's unique and truly, is great customer service. Rewarding us for consistent patronage and support, giving us a "backstage pass" of sorts.

How did you get to sample? Are you just a regular and know them so they just pulled some out? I was in the other day, and have been in a few other times, but have never had the opportunity.

they tend to be pretty generous with regulars....I must have sampled the brandy BA strudel cake 3-4 times before it was bottled. I think it's a matter of timing...whether Greg/Mike are busy...whether the brewery is busy.....and yeah, being there pretty often helps. And I definitely never ask for samples....usually just comes up in the course of conversation naturally.

^^^This. Try to get in at least once per week, sometimes more, sometimes less. Been doing that since right when they opened.

The instances of tasting something from the back are far and few between on an individual basis (at least for me), but in totality, seems like it happens a fair amount across their group of regulars.

Just chat the guys up, stop in weekly/bi-weekly - they'll take care of you. Being a Rush fan doesn't hurt either.

Literally can't wait to try the Juicy Caboosey. Unfiltered DIPA, yes please!

it. is. fantastic. I liked their first Opulancy better, but otherwise best version of IPA they have produced.

So this Caboosey is essentially an NEIPA? Looks like Im stopping in today!

I didn't think it was quite in that category....of course I don't know how they brewed it. It's good though. Maybe a bit too high ABV for me (9.8%). I had a pour of it yesterday and then went with Supremacy the rest of the afternoon.

The Caboosey is damn good. Not quite a NEIPA but stands damn well on its own. I liked the Kilted Beans vanilla scotch much more this trip than a week ago. And the coconut stout is superb, at the moment. Still can't get over how damn drinkable that vanilla/coffe cream ale is.

They still had BA strudel cake on last night when I was in early, which was nice.

What does everybody think of Liquid Thai'd? I thought it was crazy good. Offensive, flavorful, bizarre, and excellent. Only thing I ever had like it is Ballast Point Indra Kunindra. Definitely not for everybody, but I loved it.

My plumbing can't handle pepper beers so I play it safe and steer clear.

I'm about to head to Rural Inn to load up on bourbon and will probably detour for a growler of Kilted Beans. I'm in Greenfield (about 40 minutes out) so I'm kicking myself for not having grabbed a growler of it last night. Just gives me an excuse to down another flight.
