Anybody seen either of 'em? (Specifically in Manhattan?)

Not entirely sure about NYC, but I was told that both the new Founders and Stone releases would hit Long Island on Monday. Based on that info, I'd expect these to hit NYC around the same time.

The release of DD & Frangelic Mountain Brown is Monday 7/2 with product being shipped to retailers that day. One or two retailers sold KBS before the release date hence the distributors decision to not ship the beer to retail before the release date.
Stone 10th Anniv Ruination has not received label approval from the NYSLA. Once approved, Stone will send the beer to NYC for distribution.

Thanks for the update. This sucks, isn't this something they could have gotten approval for ahead of time so the beer doesn't sit somewhere getting old? Why do they need to get approval for every new beer they send here?

Breweries get TTB approval from the feds for each and every beer they sell outside of their establishments. They then pass that same label information to the the distributor in each state who is responsible for registering each beer on behalf of the brewery. New York is usually pretty quick in the approval process and Stone is very good at getting the TTB info to the distributor to send to the NYSLA. This one just didn't go as fast as usual. All registered brands are listed on the NYSLA website http://www.sla.ny.gov/system/files/registeredbrandsbyname_beer-060112.pdf.Be patient, I am sure it will happen soon.

devil dancer was out on the 'new release' shelf near the register at whole foods bowery today. Single bottles only as far as I could see. I forget what they were asking for it though. Definitely something in the 3-6 range. Didn't ask about Frangelic Mountain Brown. No Ruination 10th. I've been waiting for this one as well.

Didn't see either of the new founders stuff at New Beer Distributors, but knowing them it was in the back and you have to ask for it.

On an unrelated note, picked up Ballast Point Tongue Buckler at New Beer. I believe it was 8.75. Slightly cheaper than whole foods.

FMB was here in NJ on 7/2 already as they put it into stores on 7/2, 7/3, 7/5 and someplaces will be getting it today too.. think founders shipped it out early this time around... so NYC distributors probably have it already... if it's not on the shelfs soon it should be

The distributor for Stone in Westchester is different than the one in NYC. Now that Ruination 10 labels are approved for New York, NYC should be seeing it within the next two weeks. Stone Smoked Porter with Chipotle and Smoked Porter with Vanilla just got to NYC and began shipping to retail outlets today.

Devil Dancer is available at Best Yet Market on Eighth Ave. (Frederick Douglass) at 118th. Four-packs only - they won't split it up. I didn't check the price, but would guess it's around $23.

    EDIT: corrected cross street.
