So DFH 75 was created with the idea of when 60 is not enough and 90 is too much. So this weekend I wanted more than 90 but not ready for a 120. So I mixed the two, 50/50. Came up with the perfect mix! 105 minute. It was delicious! Anyone do this one before?
I was given a bottle of 120 recently but I'm not a big fan. If I mixed the 120 and a 60, do I get a 90?
If 90 is too much for you, mix a 120 minute, 90 minute, 75 minute (only 12 ounces of course), and a 60 minute. Then you'll have yourself an 86.25 Minute IPA. Or for a couple less minutes, add all of the 75 and you'll have a DFH 84 Minute IPA. #math
I assume it would be close. Maybe a little stronger tasting. I floated a little of the 120 ontop of the head. Worth a shot if the 120 is not your thing.
I think the 120 Minute / World Wide Stout combo should be renamed from "Heaven & Hell" to "Around the World in 120 Minutes"
I mixed a 120 Minute with Miller Lite and called it a 120 Second. (good gawd, this post took a turn from the original question and I'm now part of the problem)
I mixed 120 minute with Ta Henket, Midas Touch, Chateau Jiahu with some Spoiled Milk and spitty Chicha, and I travelled through time to when Sam Calagione's parents handed him a chemistry set and a cape, and I handed him the reinheitsgebot. Butterfly effect, yadda yadda, he's the head brewer at Magic Hat in another dimension.
Magic Hat is by no means or even anywhere close for that matter a brewery that follows reinheitsgebot. Number #1 beer is #9 with apricots. Summer beer has Beets, most of the odd notions contain odd ingredients like poppy seeds and dandelions.
