I felt that the beer was better after it sat at room temperature for a little while as opposed to the taste right from the fridge. Anyone else feel this way? I'm notsure if it was the temperature I had it set for or was it the carbonation?

I agree with letting it warm up. The maple came through a lot more as it got closer to room temp. Good beer but I have passed on buying it a couple times after trying it. Now if it was Squall on the other hand....

I got half a case of it, and really liked it. It is indeed better once it warms up. Maple is really, really hidden when it's cold, but as I get to the bottom of the glass, the warmth of the beer really brings out all the good flavors, maple is still pretty darn hidden.

I wish I could've bought a ton of Squall and put it in a time stopping capsule since they decided to take its production into a hiatus.

I thank Cpinto6 for sending me the one Squall I had! I still remember the night I drank it as it was just one of those perfect beers for a perfect end of a day.

I had a feeling you'd enjoy it  I feel the same way about that beer. I kept going back and back again to the store for more while it was available.

I had 3 75s and it is definitely better when it warms up IMO. I'm going to age 1 for a year and see how it turns out!

I wish I would've bought more Squall too. Just had it once and it was Great!

Every beer that has flavor (non-BMC) is better after it sits at room temperature for a while as opposed to the taste right from the fridge. Coldness masks flavor. You can really taste the maple and grapefruit rind at about 50-55 degrees.

I miss Squall too. And I haven't seen ANY! 75 minute around my area so basically they took away a beer I really liked and replaced it with... Nothing!

Maple really came through as it warmed. Nice in a 750ml bottle. Had a good hop bite at first while cold, and as I poured the rest from the bottle was a nice transition to maple sweetness.

Surprised to hear people on here talking about the flavors coming out as it warms, that happens to anything you drink. If enjoying a beer let it warm up a bit before drinking.

I actually like my IPA's on the colder side, not ice cold but cooler than I'd drink other styles. I find the hops have more bite that way. Black Ipa's are a great example you start to lose some of the citrus when it warms and turns more into a porter than IPA (For me at least)

All flavors become more pronounced when warmer, including the malts so not a big surprise the roastiness comes out more. But hop flavor also comes out much more as it warms up.

I had the oppurtunity to have a 75 min IPA on Cask at the DFH Restaurant in Rehobeth. Very nice maple backbone with a high octane hops, 55 degree temp and lower carb as cask should be. Loved every minute!!

I didn't love this beer maybe letting it warm up would have helped it out...

On an unrelated note, does anyone know if this beer is meant to age at all? Picked up a bottle and really wanted to save it for a family occasion up in Vermont in a few months (they love them sum maple!), but willing to find something different when the time comes if need be.

I think most people here realize that. It just the maple flavor specifically comes out while warm but is almost non detectable when cold. I'm not explaining it well so just drink the damn beer then you'll know what everyone is talking about.

Haha I I know what you mean having recently had DFH 75 both in bottle and on cask again in the last couple of days. But your point of "most people on here realize that" is not true from what I am seeing. Sure the more experienced do, but I would say from what I have read on here the whole serve cold mentality is still too common.
