It isn't very hoppy and should be fine if stored cold, it won't be the same as fresh of course though.

I think this is a classic case of "the beer geek wants what the beer geek can't have". If next year they took away 75 minute and brought back Squall...people would wish 75 minute was there. Look at Port Hop 15...everyone missed it SOOOOOOO much...just to realize Mongo is way better and they were better off with having Mongo readily available to them. The heart/beer geek is a complicated thing to understand.

I'm getting a bottle in a trade, looks like I'll leave it out for a bit before drinking

Was this a one time brew? or will it be bottled on an occasional basis?

An IPA with maple? Definitely not. Maple fades just like hops.

The bottle says it ages well, so Sam says. Is he right? We'll know in about a year.

Eh - it doesn't quite say that. It's a reference to being bottle conditioned, which yes, helps a beer age gracefully, and can bring out additional complexities over time. But, there's a huge difference between a beer holding up for a year, and actually tasting better in a year. You're going to lose your hops and maple no matter what, so I see little way this beer will actually taste better in a year, unless you really dig malt bombs. There's a long running BA joke about aging IPA's into faux-barleywines, and that's pretty much the extent of what you'd get here.

Laying down a 75 is just buying way too into the cellaring fad...
