Like it says on the label, ages with the best of 'em. I'd say try it fresh so you can experience it, but honestly, I prefer Burton Baton with some age.

Burton Baton is a DIPA that ages well, I personally like it most around 1 year to 1 1/2 years on it. After that it gets way too malty.

I love Burton Baton, it is not your typical IPA. There is a burbon taste in so you are not going to taste a ton of hops.

You guys have given me another experiment to do. Off to total wine for a 4 pack of Burton.

They said it so I don't have to.

I did a side by side with these two at the same age (1 year) and while the Burton was just fantastic with vanilla that really popped, I found the 90 to be overwhelmingly astringent. How long did you age yours? I may have to give it another whirl but for less time this go around.

I've aged a few and like the hop fade and bigger malt/caramel flavored. Drink up!

Agreed. 2yr mark seems to be a sweet spot for it. I Love it fresh, but it changes beautifully after 18 months.

A good brew to begin with to be sure...but most definitely better with age on it, though maybe only if you're a traditionalist.
The style that it is emulating would have been aged for a year or more.

It has been said it was a tribute to the Ballantine Burton ales, as in your avitar.

They had one at the store I visited today that was bottled in December and I picked it up. Never had this beer before so eager to try.
