Great question, and I'm curious as well. They are in fact from 2008, and I still have two bottles remaining.

 

Add me to the list. I have only one bottle and am just waiting for an excuse to crack it open.

 

Had one I saved for a couple years ... Never had gotten the cardboard taste before had read reviews mentioniing that... Well lets just say after that beer I now know that taste !!!

 

I know this doesnt' really answer your question but I had one from 2011 the other day and it was fantastic!

 

I have several bottles from the 04-15-2008 bottling. Had one the a couple months ago and it was very good. The strong wood notes that were present when it was new are faded. Still very noticable but mellower and more rounded out. Over all I thought it was very enjoyable. I have no immediate plans to open any more. Maybe in a year or two.

I am drinking a 12/1/08 right now. It's boozy, woody, and there is a nice dry, walnut finish. It haven't had this fresh probably since 08, but I believe there's a hint of coffee here not present when fresh. Correct me if I'm wrong. Needless to say it's held up very well, so I've no plans to rush to finish the others. I goes quite well with the white fudge macadamia cookie that I'm currently noshing on.
