So, we've been playing around with a Randall at the brewery tasting room where I work. We've tried a "pina colada" randall twice now (ran through shredded unsweetened coconut in a small hop bag and pineapple chunks) and the ingredient chamber has gotten stuck both times when we've tried to take it apart. And I mean really stuck, necessitating the use of a vice and a rubber strap wrench to remove it. We've used the randall twice a week for the last couple of months, with a huge variety of ingredients like oak chips, candy, fruit, tea, coffee, etc, and replaced the rubber seals as necessary. This specific combination of pineapple and coconut is so far the only common factor in getting the chamber hopelessly stuck. Not sure if it's the sugar content or perhaps the coconut- even though we've utilized hop bags to prevents coconut particles getting through the filter. Any advice/suggestions/solutions would be super appreciated!
