I prefer Squall. They are rated only 1 point apart with 75 getting a 92 with 336 reviews and Squall having a 91 with 717 reviews.
With the differences between the two beers I would prefer to have them both be a part of the regular line up.
I dig them both. I had the 75 minute more recently, so that one I remember liking "better," but I think it's just because it's fresher in my minds-eye. Both are damn good.
75 minute is good and I am happy they bottled, but Squall is much better and I hope they make it again.
Are you talking about the bottled 75 minute or the one they serve at the brewpub? I was told that they are different. Something along the lines of the brewpub is casked while the bottled version has syrup added.
The bottled version is bottle conditioned with maple syrup. Don't know what the deal is with the draught version
Squall. It's not even a difficult decision by any means. 75 is cool, but Squall is one of the more special beers brewed by DFH. And for a brewery that makes some different beers....
I thought squall was basically 90 minute dry hopped. A little harder to compare but definitely like squall better.
Although I had rated them both equally (3.88), I'd have to give the edge to 75 Minute. Despite not being the biggest fan of 60 or 90 Minute, I did enjoy and prefer both Squall and 75 to their year-round IPAs.
I always liked squall and would rather have that then 75. Especially since squall was real easy to get whereas 75 was a lil difficult. That said though I loved 75 when I had it on cask.
