FWIW I've never personally experienced that and I've been probably 9-10 times in the 3 months I have lived down here..

either way i don't know if i'll make it there. I checked their taplist, seems a bit on the high side. Or at least to me. $8 for 10oz of sumatra brown... wow. A 4 pack is $11...

It is without a doubt one of the priciest places.. they've had some BA Avery beers and BCBS and BCBBW on tap for a couple months now due to the fact they are charging like $20 for a 10 ounce pour!

I saw that... ridiculous. At first I was like oh man they have BCBBW on tap, nice! Then saw the price... I had that same '13 BW on tap at a local place here on black friday for like $6 for an 8 ounce pour. Same with Vanilla Rye :grinning:

Don't be scared of the traffic. It's a slight headache at worst out here. And the parking issues at that BBQ place can only be described as rich people problems. It's in the middle of a suburb. You could easily park somewhere and hoof it. Less than a block. People are spoiled here with all the easy parking.

Drunken Donkey's new place called Craft and Crabs soft opened yesterday. It's one lot to the north of Hall's. I'm sure pricing will be high just like DD. https://www.facebook.com/craftandcrab/

Not scared of the traffic. I just hate traffic. I can tolerate being in it a little (much better than my wife). It just drives me nuts. In the places I have lived etc I have made it so traffic isn't an issue. Just one of those things I can think of 1000 better ways to spend my time. :grinning: Last thing I want is to fly into a new place then sit in the car. I was hoping for a little earlier of a flight, but it was either fly out at 6 in the morning, get in at 10 at night, or this. So this won.

Craft and crab sounds interesting. Something about them dumping seafood by the pound in front of me on the table (paraphrased from their facebook post)

People normally don't come to Dallas in search of seafood.

Would I be invading this thread if I asked about good places in downtown Dallas? I've had YR in Austin before, but would very much enjoy a further exploration of TX IPAs (and Sours, if there is a chance to explore some good locals) and a re-up on YR as I think it is world class. I wasn't planning on taking any of it with me, so taps are best.

I was thinking that as well. That is usually my mindset when I visit Boston... Not Texas

So I talked to a place down there and Lone Pint is changing the bottling line for yellow rose (somewhere someone had mentioned switching to 12oz, so maybe that is happening), and there won't be any bottled for the next 2 months. I might be able to find some, but not going to to be as easy to bring a bunch back,

They are switching to like a 500 ml/16.9 oz bottle format. I have "heard" it will be released in a 4 pack, and here in the next few weeks

It's here...and it's GLORIOUS! Bought a case at a Houston-area Specs yesterday (~$67 for 24 bottles of 500ml glory), and it was bottled Monday! Knowing Specs, they'll bring some up to our area soon!

Slim chance here but if anyone is in Houston and wants to #gopickitupformebro

Can't lie and say I didn't map how far of a drive from grapevine to Houston it was. Fingers crossed but I doubt it will get up there by the time I am in town next week.

@Jmorey I would gladly grab you some, but do you realize that is like an 8 hour round trip. Maybe you can find a fellow BA here that is going back and forth that week. There are a lot of people in Houston that travel up to Dallas during the week.

No, I totally get the distance. Wasn't serious by any means for someone to drive that just for the pickup. Need to have a emoji that has more sarcastic undertones.

Yellow Rose is on at Pouring Glory in FW. 20-25 minutes after rush hour. Right near The Collective. Also Bearded Lady is not far. Would be a nice little 3 stopper if you want to venture to the town of the cow.

I skimmed through the comments. Has no one recomended going to Halls? If not go to Halls. It's one of the best places to go in DFW and the regularly put out Easter eggs. Yellow rose is also all over DFW in bottles or tap.

Halls was in my original post. And I did stop in. Didn't find any raster eggs though.

I wouldn't say yellow rose is all over dfw in bottles. As I went to and called about 10 places and no one has it right now. No at lone star. No at halls. No at specs. No at total wine in Lewisville or Plano. Only spot that has some that I found is Denton, and I couldn't afford the time to drive up.

Im packing my bag right now and flying out in the morning. I was very fortunate to get 2 bottles from a local here or I would have none.
