I have moved to Fort Worth from Tacoma, Washington, and I am looking for a place that serves, or brews, cask conditioned ales. I have tried calling all breweries, but no one is making them! Any suggestions? Are there places in Austin or San Antonio? My beer heart is crushing.
Not sure on the specifics for the DFW area anymore, but cask in general has been dying around Houston. Only two breweries that I know of do them around me now, and any of the bars that use to either quit serving them or closed all together. I seem to remember Meddlesome Moth in Dallas having one, but last time I was there was 10 years ago or so, along those lines Flying Saucer might have them on occasion. Not sure if they still do. I know The Ginger Man bars always have them, but think they just all closed after Covid shutdowns
Division Brewing in Arlington normally has one beer on cask. It started out as Distant Cousin, their dark mild. They have had a stout on cask mostly recently. But they did have an english pub ale on cask a few weeks ago. It was really good.
