DFW Pumpkinator, FBS and BBQ release

So, more sightings of BBQ?

 

For DFW guys...Specs on Hulen had plenty of BBQ yesterday and said plenty of FBS coming in today (10-17).

 

Also got in Velvet Merlin yesterday....

 

Have there been any BBQ sightings in Houston?

 

Las Colinas Beverages got 4-5 cases of BBQ yesterday...

 

Lonestar MIGHT still have one bottle left of BBQ. Picked up 1 of 2 this morning.

 

What is BBQ? Sorry, have trouble keeping track of the acronyms.

I truly don't think you know what you're doing to your beer scene down there. It isn't just you but you are a big part of it on this board. Hoarding, bragging about it and shoving in everyones face causes beer to be overly trendy/popular. It was just Saint Arnolds Divine Reserve series years ago but now it's every beer that hits Houston. It's sad.

In short, dont bring that shit to my city man. Don't ruin this for me. Again I know this isn't just you but you are a part of it.

 

Right...because new beer releases aren't snatched up the day they hit stores in DFW.

 

Exactly. I hate having to head to a store the day something gets here because it won't last more than a few hours. I loved the days I could pick up BBQ or other similar releases weeks after it hit the shelf. Matt is somewhat right though...it's people like Chow that have ruined this for others in all the bigger cities. They go and buy cases of beer for them and their close friends leaving lots of people high and dry.

I was at a store yesterday that had cases of BBQ at no limit and guess what...I bought two bottles and left. I could have bought the case but I'm not an asshole.

 

Not even close to the level of ridiculousness of Houston. Yes we sell out of things over the course of a day or two. Most times things that sell out in minutes down there last almost a week in the rest of the state and DFW.

Also, so we're going after my entire post, please find a post of someone from DFW bragging about grabbing all the beer. You're probably going to have to go back quite a ways.

 

I love having this same discussion every few weeks....
