    Sounds like my best bet is just heading there around 4 tommorow. I might only have time for 2-3, so hopefully I can catch a few of you there.

    Sorry, didn't mean to imply he didn't do business with anyone other than Duff. Just meant that he's probably one of the few who gets attention from the smaller distros, and rightfully so!

    Was there earlier today. Everyone do yourself a favor and make the trek to strangeways and have some barrel aged blockhead, WOW!! They did not receive D magazine best draft selection for nothing.

    Anyone know where the French Oaked Buried Hatchet Aged in a Four Roses Barrel will be in Austin? It sounds delicious!!!

    To everyone who is making it tonight I'll be there sitting at the bar early on with my wife, we'll probably move to a table in the back corner as the place begins to fill up. I'll probably wearing a Maui Brewing shirt, big guy with glasses and I hope to be there around 5ish. I know the faces of Raffy313/Dave, Crusian/Seth and Thirdeye311/Chad of the people who might show so anyone else is more than welcome to meet up and drink with us.

    FYI if you've never been, parking is behind Strangeways (very limited/small) or across the street at the Mexican grocery store La Michocana. DO NOT PARK at the Vanidades Hair Studio right next door to Strangeways they will tow your ass fast.

    Here now... Past 2 days still on. Disappointed in the buried hatchet. Too much French oak, overpowers everything else.
    512 2 is great though. Mikkeller hunt for pine next.

    Sorry I didn't get a chance to talk with many BA's, I got caught talking an RB'er (I felt like I was cheating on BA).

    I really liked the Buried Hatchet, from the cloudy over oaked entry pours to the later more chocolate pour, and was even happier to have a new bar to visit it Dallas. The tap list was really amazing and everyone around me reported the food was awesome.

    Hopefully we can get a tasting together in the coming months so we can more formally meet, otherwise I'll be bringing my lady to this spot in the near future.

    I'm definitely in on these tastings. Got to meet and talk to Matt for awhile last night, and we sort of agreed that there should be something regular happening.

    The BA Human Blockhead was outstanding! Thanks for the heads up on this place, Matt...definitely somewhere I see myself visiting again soon. Love the collection of creepy toys behind the bar :slight_smile:

    As always, good to see everyone as well. I need to get back there, maybe tonight. I'm just hoping they still have more of the Barrel Aged Human Blockhead. At the very least, Whiskey Barrel Double Pecan Porter SHOULD still be on... I hope. :slight_smile:

    I probably committed a Beer Crime the other night but a burst of Strawberry Fruli followed by a full pour of Outer Darkness is a wonderful "mixed beer".

    I wouldn't count on BA Blockhead being there but I am hopefull too, Chad. WDPP sold out in 1 night last year, however a lot of people seem to be out of town for Thanksgiving... So very likely this is still there. I am having dinner up there with another BA tonight, hope to see you Chad.

    Had another great evening at Strangeways. Barrel Aged Human Blockhead was still on when I left Friday evening. Eric ribbed me a bit for showing up twice in one week as I've only been in there sporadically in the past. In any case, I think I'll be finding myself at Strangeways more often. Plus I tend to always see good people in there which is why I go out drinking socially in the first place. It doesn't hurt that they have a stellar tap list though.

    Bummed I never got the chance to make it over to Dallas for these tappings. Came close to going for Wednesday's Oaked Buried Hatchet but had intel there early to let me know it wasn't really worth the long drive. Thanks for that... well, you know who you are... :wink:. Too much work and holiday events kept me away the other days.

    One day I'll make it down to Strangeways... sounds like an awesome place to have a beer!

    *BTW, sounds like BA Human Blockhead was the hit of the party. Surprised no one's mentioned the DPP... did anyone have it, and how fast did it kick?

    Sadly I think it's still on tap. I think a lot of the metroplex went out of town for Thanksgiving. BA Blockhead was even still on Saturday night when I popped in for a quick beer... My god that stuff is good!
