I brewed a breakfast brown ale today. I adapted this recipe to my equipment and added a full pound of lacto. The OG ended up being 1.068.

I have tried the beer the recipe makes and really enjoyed it. I soaked a medium char white oak honeycomb in makers mark and suspended that in primary. What I am wondering if I goofed at was I brewed a strong 8 cup pot of community medium roast and added that when I was cooling the beer for shits and giggles. Will coffee and oak flavors match up or should i not have high hopes for the experiment?

I wouldn't worry too much about it. Wait till you can taste it and adjust it then.

No regrets doing it....it's an experiment. I had two 1 gallon carboys I could have done this with but I went and made a full 5 gallon batch haha. When I put all of the coffee in the wort I was thinking how awesome it would be to have a coffee brown ale in case I needed a laxitive in the evening lol
