Did I trash my first batch? Siphon problems.

care to elaborate? sounds like straining during bottling might be an issue. i've strained my brews through a muslin bag attached to the siphon end. am i setting myself up for failure?

 

No, I was talking about straining in open air, like through one of these...

A submerged bag is okay for finished beer, since there's no additional O2 to dissolve (other than the little bit that was dragged along with the bag when originally submerged).
