I was fortunate enough to buy a few cases of TW12, but I have been saving them for special occasions. Last one I drank tasted more like a sour and not even close to the Quad it once was. I have some bottles with dates stamped on the cap from 2016-2018, which means they were from 2013-2015? What should I do?? Thanks!
Meant to include that as well. They have been stored in a closet or some other dark/cool place. The best I had available. But we've moved three times and that means they've spent a couple days in the back of my truck in the middle of summer for each move. Not in direct sunlight, but I am sure they got warm.
I wouldn't just dump them, I would at least try some more of them. Nothing to lose right? Also, what is tw12?
Agreed. Posts like this are strange - beer that has oxidized too much can't hurt you, it might just not taste good. Since he referenced dates on caps, and Quad, I assume Trappist Westvleteren 12. Although personally I've never seen anyone abbreviate it like that before. Usually "Westy 12".
I'll keep trying, but I don't think they will move with me again if they keep tasting bad. Yes, Westvleteren 12. Sad, very sad indeed!
