I'm not sure why but to me, the mad chase for KBS is even more obnoxious than the made chase for BCBS; maybe because the bottles are smaller. Both situations are rediculous.

True, but I am (was) a regular. I asked him in person in October, and he said he would be getting some, but he didn't want to deal with the Black Friday lines, etc. I wasn't enough of a regular that he knew my name, but I came in once every two weeks, so he wouldn't know it was me if I identified myself over the phone. But it shouldn't matter. Being rude is being rude, whether it's to a regular or a stranger.

    Fixed.

I drove a few miles out of my way to grab a regular BCBS for $10 and drank it that night. This is a glorious time of year for stouts and it was definitely worth trying - but ultimately I thought it was a sugary bourbon bomb that I don't need to chase any more this season. *shrug*

I never see a chase for Kbs it's so here and gone, there's very little chasing. The allocations are so small for most retailers they just put it out to be done with it. At least here it's like that.

Yeah, that blows, and it's a shame that it works out that way in some places. My attitude might be different if that's what I was dealing with. (Though I wonder where this person was from if BCBS is being sold straight off the truck? Around here, retailers received it around a week in advance and could set up their releases pretty much any way they wanted.)

Here too. As far as I know most retailers here their stuff on Wednesday, with a promise to release on Fri morning. And they did.

I just had 2015 BC and I will say it ruined me. It blows Parabola out of the water. Much better than last year's batch imo.

My friend, I'm on the same boat at you. I showed up to the same Binnys in plainfield but I arrived at 430. And waking up I thought to myself "this is crazy! Never would thought I'd spend more than $10 for beer"

The demand is real. Because I went to that same liquor store and they said they wouldn't sell it until 5. But heres the kicker, I got there right when the truck driver showed up and contemplated working out a deal with the driver whether he would have or not lol

Marianos on 59 in shore wood also got their shipment Today Dec 2 and sold out within an hour and a half

Im telling you maybe this beer thing is equivalent to the shoe game. A lot of hype and a lot of demand

It's crazy how some places limit people and mark it up like crazy. My local grocery store ended up getting 20 cases of the regular and I was able to get 3 1/2 cases. No limit. Just walked in and got it. There were still 3 cases still sitting as of yesterday. Then you hear stories of having to purchase something else just to be able to buy a couple...sucks.

You're calling the OP stupid when you showed up somewhere at 2 am for a few bottles of beer? Uh what?

Just think, all those BC purchases are funding the next ABI Superbowl commercial. It's the gift that keeps on giving!

Yea OP is stuipid for not showing up a few hours earlier to get a full allocation at MSRP. Instead he spends all day truck chasing and overpaying.

Pretty much most of Lansing MI got theirs ON black Friday, in the morning. Not days before or anything. So it was pretty much unload and sold.

Agreed... we did a 2014 and 2015 BCBS side by side... 2015 was much better.

The flight I had at the release was: Event Horizon, Dragons Milk, BCBS 14, BCBS 15. Out of the four Dragons Milk was the least favorite. It didn't have that big mouth feel to me, and almost seemed like a porter. I do want to try it again by itself since it does carry so much Hype.

Regardless of money spent, didn't you spend the same amount of time waiting overnight? Seems like a massive waste of time to me.
