Just curious, because I haven't seen any at Blue Max in a long long time. Maybe over a year ago. Come to think of it, I haven't really seen much of their beers around except in Hudson. Haven't seen any TC shops tweeting about getting their seasonals in either. Loved their Double Simcoe, Insanity and Blasphemy. Their barleywine and Verboten were both very good too. Anybody know what's happened with them here?
I heard from a source (who I've heard all sorts of b.s. from in the past) at a local shop that Weyerbacer was dropped by their distributor in Minnesota. I'll wager it's true, since as you said, there's been nothing fresh showing up for at least a couple of months now. Makes me sad. Love Weyerbacher. Double Simcoe is one of the beers that pulled me into this madness. Thank goodness for Hudson.
I was told last week by the Metro distributor that they still carry Weyerbacher. Lapse in product was due to growing pains. They claim a new shipment is on the way soon. We'll see...
This is the most accurate response. At least we'll know that Double Simcoe will be fresher than fresh. I could use another keg of Merry Monks too.
Weyerbacher at South Lyndale moves as fast as a hamstrung snapping turtle. Last time I was in they still had Weyerbacher Sixteen (which is really good), but it was well over a year old at that point. I haven't seen any of the new artwork anyplace in Minneosta.
Holy shit, I've seen angry snapping turtles move at a pace one would not think possible. Scary as hell! A pulled hamstring would slow them down considerably I'd wager though.
We Have some Quad, Stout and Barleywine left in stock. All age worthy stuff. I haven't been able to order anything from them since the beginning of the year.
Casanova's, top shelf above the singles. Thought about it but passed due to an already bulging beer cave. It was a few days ago so I'd call before making the trek.
