A beverage place where I frequent is selling growlers of this beer at a premium price. A 64 ounce growler of this 7.2% IPA goes for $33.99. After doing a search, I came up with a Quebec brewery that has a "Disco Soleil", but it's at 6.5% with a BA rating of 87. Are these the same exact beers? Why the ABV discrepancy? Or, are they two completely different brews? Further, is it worth the money? Thanks!!
The ABV needs to be updated as they upped it when they released in bottles. So yeah, it's very likely the same beer. It's quite good but it's made from kumquats so expect something different. I find the price exorbitant though.Can get a six pack for a third of the price here.
Though it's not sold at the provincial liquor stores in the Maritime provinces, the private stores in Halifax are selling individual bottles for $3.99 each. So that growler price seems awful high. Actually, higher per ounce than the beer bars where I've seen it on tap!
