Difference between 2012 DL BA bottles

Both bottlings were blends from my understanding, but I guess each blend could have its own good and bad qualities. Perhaps that's the reason for the two numberings?

 

Two separate bottling dates, and two different blends. Both sets were blended from multiple barrels. Not the exact same sets of barrels.

 

I forgot to ask why they used 2 separate numbering sets, instead of continuing from 421+. Like most, I don't really care why; the beer tastes great regardless of whats drawn on the outside of the bottle.

 

What's funny about this is I actually do have bottle number 579/534 of the Cognac.

Gold sharpies are hard to find.

This years bottles were done in silver.

 

Although they were done in silver I still think they used Unicorn blood.

 

My memory is color blind, so everythimg that glitters is gold.

 

Hahaha, to be totally honest I'm actually color blind and I can't tell if it's silver or white.

 

Forgive me, I was remembering the color of the 2011 BA DL's, which used a gold sharpie. The 2012 variants have white sharpie on it! Looks like we both were wrong.

 

I'm not really sure the difference matters all that much. All that DOES matter is that it is really good and you should get one. Drank my Cognac De Muerte over the weekend. Ooooh man.....
