    Hello everyone,

Somebody probably has asked this before, it's been confusing me for a while!!

There are some international beer competition, like World Beer Cup and World Beer Awards, can I know the difference between the two? And which one is more credible?
Other than the two, any other important ones that I should not miss?

    Thank you all for answering!

As with any competition, you can't win if you don't enter. Had to say that as often someones favorite may not be entered in the competition.

Don't know about the World Beer Awards.

The WBC is run by the Brewers Association, and is held in the even years. Judging is blind and done by industry professionals. Pay attention to that one.

For the US, there is the GABF competition, which is held with the festival. Once again that is run by the BA.

European Beer Star just happened in Nuremburg, Germany and is held their every year for the Brau Beviale beverage industry convention. That's probably the most respected international competition, save for maybe the World Beer Cup, which is held in rotating cities in the US.

Forgot to say that the WBC competition happens on even years, just before the CBC. The CBC rotates around the US. Next year is DC IIRC.
