Difference between HT and Limbo.

I've bought Limbo for $8.99 and $9.99 outside the big cities in Vermont. Really happy to have this and Kind Ryed for local IPA options you can grab in a grocery or general store. Limbo will definitely surpass Finestkind for when I want an IPA in a six pack and I wish Kind Rye was year-round.

 

I wish I could find Limbo for $9/10 in Burlington. It's $12 everywhere that I've seen it in town (at least the easy accessible/close to me shops). Definitely a great IPA to have year around. I'm hoping more of Long Trail's pilot beer graduates to the same degree of success/taste as Limbo.

 

I think my 6pack was $10.99 at Pearl St. But with tax and stuff I'm guessing it was 12ish all said and done

 

I hosted a blind tasting with Limbo/HT & Double Sunshine maybe two weeks ago (not serious beer drinkers but all wanting to learn).
Heady Topper was the clear winner among the panel. Battle was for 2nd, Limbo was noted to have a much darker appearance and subsequent caramelly base. The panel was split on the hop character of DS, some loved it, others did not (citra). HT had by far the most hop flavor and aroma. Limbo had a great tropical fruit hop character with Chinook, Galaxy & Mosaic working beautifully together, but didn't have nearly the punch of HT. Limbo was considered to have the least hop punch of the three tasted.

 

Man,not looking 4ward to the price here in CT.,the way this state sticks it to ya.
