Was just unpacking my beer after a move, and realize I mixed up my vintages of IST(Imperial Stout Trooper). I had them specifically marked on the box, but there was a straggler separate from all the others.
Does anyone know if there's a way to differentiate between the labels of 2010 and 2011?
    Thanks.

Check the date on the label?

There is no date on the labels and I'm pretty sure they used the same labels for 2010 & 2011. I put post it notes on mine so I could tell the difference. You wanna stop by and compare? We'll probably end up drinking them!

There were two labelings done as they didn't have any of the newer dated labels initially, so there are 2011's out there with both undated, leftover-from-10 labels and newer dated labels. The presence of the date is the only difference in the label.

There was also a second batch of "2011" that was actually brewed in 2012 which went to MA. Those would all have dated labels.

I don't have a bottle in front of me, so maybe I am wrong, but typically all of their special releases have a year on the label near the signiture of Rob and/or Matt.

Thanks. Gonna take a look now.

Ya, I do something similar. Too bad I wasn't careful.
